Our 74th Season of Shows

A Note from Artistic Director
Desha Crownover

Life is full of opposites, isn’t it?

The world can feel enormous and small at the same time. We can be both hopeful and anxious. We know exactly what the word “bittersweet” means. This past year has had more than the usual share of opposites: ups and downs, closeness and isolation, connection and disconnection.

So, how do we navigate impossible circumstances?

With hope. Hope makes the impossible, possible! Last year, so many of our dreams were deferred. This year, we see a light at the end of the tunnel, and what was impossible then finally seems possible today! So, in that spirit, we choose to put our faith in miracles: impossibly possible stories and plots. Tales full of opposites. Impossible circumstances but always hopeful.

What does impossible hope look like?

It looks like a special connection between two amphibious friends who weather life’s ups and downs together. It looks like a fresh, winter’s day when the only limit to your adventure is what you can imagine. Impossible hope happens in fantasy from jungles to the Underworld, from fractured fairy tales to true love. Impossible hope makes all things possible.

Welcome to Junior Theatre’s Impossibly Possible 74th Season!

We’ve missed you in this year of opposites. We can’t wait to share these stories with you as we look back in appreciation for what we learned and move forward, in hope, together.

Optimistically,
Desha
