75 Years of Magic

Our 75th Anniversary Season has been a record-breaking and historic year at Junior Theatre and now it's time to celebrate!

Join us on Saturday, August 12, at the Casa del Prado Theatre as we celebrate a magical 75 years of theatre arts education and production and raise some money to support our future programming!

The evening's program begins at 7:30pm in the Casa del Prado Theatre. Tickets for the program portion of the evening are $35.

Doors open at 7pm where guests will have the chance to purchase opportunity drawing tickets, peruse and purchase Junior Theatre merchandise (current & vintage) at great prices and view our display of flashback photos. We will bid a fond farewell to outgoing Artistic Director, Desha Crownover, welcome our incoming Artistic Director, Joey Price, celebrate our JT Honorees and feature performances by the students from JT on Tour and Confetti.

Our pre-program reception is from 5-7pm on the patio next to the theatre and will feature delicious bites from Bekker's Catering, including a martini mashed potato bar, tri tip carving station and many delectable passed hors d'oeuvres, a signature drink served in take home JT75 tumblers. Zzymzzy Quartet will delight with their dulcet sounds while you peruse the wonderful items available for bidding in our silent auction, including a private sailboat tour, stays in a Baja beach house, Sycuan Casino & Resort and The Lodge at Torrey Pines, passes to Legoland and The Wave waterpark, gift certificates to lauded restaurants, tickets to many San Diego theatres, Junior Theatre gift certificates for both production and education, and much more! Winning bids will support all Junior Theatre programming in the coming years.

Tickets for both the reception and program are $125 and are the purple seats on the seating chart labeled "Reception Seating." Attendance is limited!

Whether you join us at the reception or choose to just attend the performances and honors in the theatre, you will be part of this important milestone in SDJT's history.

The JT Honors is a tradition designed to recognize Junior Theatre alumni for exemplary lifetime achievement in their careers, professions or community service, as well as non-alumni for their distinguished or extraordinary service to SDJT.
