The Princess in the Sleeping Wood

A princess is enchanted by a wicked fairy, and sleeps for 100 years in a mulberry tree. The spell is broken, and she is awakened by the kiss of Prince Charming. The same fairy tale story had been successfully presented the previous summer, in The princess Who Disappeared.
Herman Ould’s 1924 one-act play The Princess in the Sleeping Wood was part of Junior Theatre’s community outreach tour, touring local recreation centers and playgrounds including Kit Carson, Encanto and Pacific Beach.
This production featured grade school students from Junior Theatre’s summer session classes, directed by Ivy E. Menke.
A Junior Theatre Premiere! Recommended for all ages.
