
Stephen Evangelista is a pianist, vocalist, and voice teacher with over four years of experience teaching private vocal lessons, small group vocal classes, and musical theatre rehearsals with students ages 2 to 16. He studied Voice Teaching at San Diego State University, where he built a strong foundation in vocal technique, pedagogy, and choral collaboration while actively accompanying rehearsals and productions. Stephen has worked as an accompanist for vocal auditions, church choirs, school choirs, and stage productions across San Diego — most recently serving as pianist for Junior Theatre’s production of James and the Giant Peach. His teaching approach emphasizes creativity and play-based learning, helping young singers gain confidence and discover their authentic voices. Stephen music directed JT’s production of Where the Mountain Meets the Moon.
