Bobino
Bobino, His Adventures, in Two Acts, was published in 1941 by author and playwright Stanley Kauffmann, based on the fairy tale ‘Bobino’ from The Grey Fairy Book, by Andrew Lang. It tells the story of a rich merchant’s son, who is sent away to a Master to learn languages and a trade. Upon his return, we learn he’s been taught the languages of the animals. His father disowns him, and sends him away. On his adventures, Bobino’s knowledge of the languages of animals proves very valuable indeed.
This production was presented by the third, fourth and fifth grade Summer Theater Workshop students at the Puppet Theatre in Balboa Park.
