Mary Janus

Mary Janus spent her youth performing in pre-professional and regional theatre in Boston and New York City. She was one of few teenagers accepted into the North Shore Music Theatre’s Youth Academy and trained in voice by The New England Conservatory and Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts. She was accepted into Broadway Artist Alliance’s Pre-Collegiate Training and Performance program and won several awards for her performances throughout her youth, including one of only five nominations for a Spotlight Award for Best Leading Female (which was the precursor to The Jimmys). Trained at Chicago College of Performing Arts, The Hartt School of Music, and University of San Diego, Mary has spent her adult life performing, directing, teaching, writing and producing, locally and nationally. She most recently worked on Destiny of Desire at The Old Globe.
