Lisa Jaret

(SDJT ''87) is the Arts in Education Program Manager for the Washington State Arts Commission, where she manages several grant programs, a roster of teaching artists, and other projects related to supporting arts education at K-12 public schools. She’s an ex-officio board member for ArtsEd Washington, and a newly appointed member of the Arts Education Advisory Group for the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies. Prior to coming to WSAC in 2005, Lisa worked at Seattle Children’s Theatre for 13 years (1992-2005), where she was the Administrative Director of Education Programs and oversaw significant growth of the SCT Drama School. She hold a B.A. in Humanities from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Masters in Not-for-Profit Leadership from Seattle University. Lisa was involved in JT from about 1979 through 1987, which proved to be a great foundation for a continuing career in arts administration and arts education. rn
