The Princess Who Disappeared

San Diego Community Theater’s Junior Theater Wing produced Geraldine McGaughan’s 1944 one-act, The Princess Who Disappeared, as one of two touring community outreach productions in the Summer of 1952. The other was Farmer Grigg's Boggart by Mary Thurman Pyle.
Rosemary Rice directed her 10-12 year-old students from the Summer Drama Workshop, under the supervision of program director Mary Corrigan. The Princess Who Disappeared was performed at 17 city playground areas, with flexible sets transported from venue-to-venue by truck.
Young Raquel Welch performed in this fairy tale about an evil witch, a princess and a caterpillar.
