San Diego Junior Theatre is currently looking to find costume designers to fill our 66th Season of shows! We are looking for designers with a fun creative vision for a variety of shows, and preferably some experience in costume design. Costume/Fashion/Art students are urged to apply! These are all short-term, contracted positions, and pay a stipend upon completion of costumes.

San Diego Junior Theatre, the oldest continuing children’s theatre program in the country, is looking for an Artistic Director. This independent, non-profit organization provides engaging, innovative and high-quality theatre education and productions to enhance the lives of children of all ages, cultural backgrounds, abilities and levels of interest. SDJT operates for the benefit of children throughout San Diego County. Since 1948, its productions have entertained more than a million theatergoers of all ages; and its distinguished alumni includes Casey Nicholaw, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Christian Hoff.
The Artistic Director will work with the Executive Director to select and produce a diverse season (7-12 shows) of plays, musicals, and special events. Oversees Production Manager, Costume Loft Coordinator, Music Specialist and their staff. Participates in developing yearly production calendar and contracting production staff; collaborates with Education Director on curriculum development; oversees special clubs.
Seeking a warm, energetic and dynamic leader who is highly collaborative and has a strong commitment to theatre education, community building, and mentoring of other artists. Expertise in the areas of music or dance is a plus.
Undergraduate degree in Theatre (or the professional equivalent) preferred, experience working with children, strong communication and organizational skills, and a positive and proactive attitude.
